Coming from a background of working with small and medium-sized clients, B2B businesses and international nonprofits, Katiana Montenegro’s experience as a UX/UI Designer has run the gamut of industries and projects. Originally from Barranquilla, Colombia, Katiana is a Central Indiana transplant and graduate of Herron School of Art and Design.
What Katiana loves most about her role as a UX/UI Designer is the daily adventure it brings. The ever-changing world of design keeps her on her toes, always motivated to learn with an open mind. We won’t call her an adrenaline junky, but Katiana isn’t afraid to take on the most challenging of projects and tackle them without breaking a sweat. “UX/UI is all about helping people,” she says. “The core of it is understanding how and why people would do something, and then generating an easy and flawless experience for them. We are problem solvers.”
In her free time, Katiana doesn’t stop exercising her creative muscles. She enjoys crafting handmade jewelry and painting. You might also find her tending to the succulent plants she propagates herself or kicking ass and taking names with her mad gaming skills.
